Evie is now 18 months old! I cannot believe how she is growing and how much fun she is to be with. The older she gets the more fun we seem to have. We also have the same sense of humor. Yesterday Chad was making dinner, and I started blowing on his shoulder, so Evie wanted to do it too! She thought it was hilarious we were trading back and forth blowing on Dad. It seems silly as I write it, but we were both cracking up!
Some things Evie is saying are wow, chimichanga(which sounds like 'anga') but it's so cute, Mom, Dad, 'pease'(please) and she signs it too, bah(bye), baby, Tu(Tux our dog), top(stop), duck, signs more and all done, when she is going to the bathroom she signs it, and starting to say Grandma. When she is whining and we say to rephrase she says please very well.
She absolutely loves books! Can't get enough of them. She loves to sit in the laundry basket with a book. She lay down with her blankets the other day and I thought she would take a nap in there!
She has started to climb on the couches, with a little help she can get up. She love sitting in the big person chair and not her high chair. When there is music she signs "music" by swinging her hand back and forth and then snaps her fingers. She's pretty close to snapping. But most importantly she wants you to sign music, snap your fingers, or tap you lap with her and the music. She looks at everyone in the room to make sure they are participating. She loves Primary on Sundays because of the kids singing. She likes to dance then. She has started to spin in circles when you ask, it's so cute, cause of course once she does it, you have to as well.
One Sunday morning Chad was whistling and so Evie made a whistle shape with her mouth and blew and some sound came out. She is such a smart little mimic! She likes to facetime with the family in Oregon, but when she's finished you have to be quick or she'll press the red button and hang up on them! She loves using my phone to play and say "hewo"(hello), she also texts random people or calls them. I love calling home on the way from work and she'll just say "ma ma ma". In the morning when she wakes up even though I don't want to get up yet, I smile that the first thing she says as she is rustling around in her crib is "Ma!".
Evie loves the outdoors. Any mood can be turned around by getting her shoes on and heading out to play with Tux and some fetch. He knocks her over sometimes in his excitement, but she forgives him. I can't wait til she can actually throw the ball. When she does it's about 5 inches and he looks at her like "really?" We like to clap and say good boy when he comes back. It's the best when we go to the baseball field down the road to play because we can walk a lot and Tux has lots of room to roam.
In other news I am about 6 months along with the new baby. It is kicking lots and my kids at school finally took notice that I a not fat...but pregnant! So observant :) I am working part time meaning I teach one class, and they're pretty great. I come home and we all eat dinner then bath time and bed usually.
Chad is preparing for his licensure exam in April, as I prepare to have the baby thereafter. He is working part time at the funeral home and studying. It's a pretty low key life we have right now. We are blessed.
So all the following pictures are from around last June(2015) she's about 9-10 months old up until recently.
Wearing Mama's old dress Grandma saved!

I really love this oatmeal!
Swimming... likes the shallow stuff, still unsure about the deep stuff with parents.
Best friends, the dog just doesn't know it yet.
We have to switch our cars around sometimes cause it's a narrow driveway, Evie likes to help steer.
Dad is good at getting her to sleep, sometimes Evie is good at getting Dad to sleep.
This was a huge Day of the Dead Project for school I made all of these skulls out of sugar and my kids loved decorating. A lot wanted to eat them...yuck!
Hope to be better at updating, it's one of my goals :)

A year later...
I guess this has become a yearly blog, on accident. Since last year's awesome adventures the most exciting news Chad and I have is that we are about to become parents!! We don't know what it is, but we are excited to be only four weeks away! At the beginning of June Mom came from Oregon to help paint and decorate the nursery. We have been adding other things to it like the crib last week and curtains today!
Chad next to our awesome Peter Rabbit mural!
Love our green furniture and yellow walls, so fun!
This is me at 32 weeks I think. I'm even bigger now. Need to take another picture later.
When I came home in June the Cooley brothers, (Chad's Uncles and Granny's side) had a cookout. I was chillin next to Pa opening a present which were two homemade baby blankets from Chad's Uncle Frank and Aunt Anne, from West Virginia!
Chad playing the traditional Cornhole with Uncle Frank in the front yard.
We went to the zoo two weeks ago to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. Now I was ok for the duration, but it was a bit of uphill and I had to have Chad push from behind a few times. But we were really excited to see this sign at the halfway point in the middle of the zoo.
Then this elephant was super fun to watch, it was playing in the water.
JP, Granny, Me, Karen, and Uncle Jerry at our baby shower in Bassett.
Chad's sister Jodi and niece Bella and nephew Brodi, so adorable!! Don't you love our corsages! Thanks to Uncle Jerry :)
Chad and the missionaries put our crib together in less than a half our! I was impressed :)
So last week I went on a quilt shop rally all day. I found several things I really liked including this cute adorable turtle I wanna make. It was super fun seeing everything. Which inspired me to finally make curtains, for our extra bedroom. They are even and hang so pretty(even though the picture is sideways) I was proud of my first set of curtains.
When I was in Oregon I got the new camera, hence why there are more pictures, Josh and I were playing with the camera.
Jolene and cute Quade :)

Austyn's lemonade stand, they used it for dinner dining outside for my goodbye bbq. Looks like fun in there!
In the baby department, I think we are ready, but who really knows until the kid gets here. Then we will be like, oh we need ... But we are excited!
